Bring a deep appreciation for the developmental needs of children ages 6–9 and a strong understanding of effective elementary teaching practices

Demonstrate experience designing and delivering instruction across one-on-one, small group, and whole-class settings

Value collaboration and contribute meaningfully to a co-teaching team with professionalism and reliability

Have a proven track record in the classroom (Montessori experience or training is preferred, though not required)

Show a commitment to ongoing professional growth, including an openness to Montessori training and philosophy

In this role, you'll:

Prepare and maintain a thoughtfully designed Montessori environment that supports independence, curiosity, and a love of learning

Observe, guide, and support students through individualized and small-group lessons based on their developmental needs

Foster a calm, respectful classroom community while helping students build responsibility during independent work cycles

Maintain accurate student records, including academic progress, lesson tracking, and assessment documentation

Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with colleagues to support each child’s growth and development

Support a rich learning environment that extends beyond the classroom—our students also engage in outdoor adventures like backpacking and rock climbing

Spanish Teacher

We’re seeking a creative and enthusiastic Spanish teacher to inspire a love of language and culture in our 1st through 6th grade students! This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping them explore Spanish through conversation, games, music, and interactive activities in a hands-on, engaging way.

The right candidate will:

Enjoy working with children ages 6–12 and appreciate their energy, curiosity, and creativity

Have experience teaching Spanish or leading language-based activities with elementary-aged students (formally or informally)

Be confident planning lessons that build vocabulary, conversational skills, and cultural awareness

Be collaborative, organized, and excited to work as part of a larger educational team

Bring a playful, encouraging, and student-centered approach to language learning
In this role, you'll:

Design and lead weekly Spanish lessons for mixed-age groups (1st–3rd and 4th–6th grades)

Incorporate a variety of engaging language experiences including songs, games, storytelling, movement, and conversation practice

Foster a love of language and cultural curiosity through immersive and interactive teaching

Collaborate with classroom teachers to complement the broader curriculum when appropriate
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits:

9–10 hours per week during the school year (4 afternoons)

$22 – $25 per hour DOE

Middle School Teacher

In this role, you'll work closely with the lead Middle School teacher to:

Prepare and maintain a thoughtfully designed learning environment that supports independence, collaboration, and meaningful academic engagement

Observe, guide, and support students through individualized and small-group instruction based on their developmental needs

Help students develop executive functioning, responsibility, organization, and self-advocacy skills

Maintain accurate student records, lesson tracking, and assessment documentation
-
Collaborate closely with colleagues during planning meetings, conferences, and school events
-
Participate fully in the life of the school community, including staff meetings, professional development days, and occasional evening events
-
Support a dynamic learning environment that extends beyond the classroom - our middle school students regularly participate in experiential learning opportunities including backpacking, rock climbing, field studies, and overnight trips
